From producing and directing films to owning several bars, restaurants, and casinos, Bill Asher has forged an impressive and well-rounded career. He has even worked with several Grammy Award-winning musicians, including Jackson Browne, Paul Simon, and Ben Harper. In addition, Bill Asher has also worked with several star steelers.

During his thirties, Bill Asher worked as an assistant cameraman at Universal Studios. After his father died, Asher moved back to New York with his mother. Asher began to work as a photographer, and also became an editor. He soon found his way into the television industry. In 1948, he co-produced a low-budget boxing melodrama called Leather Gloves. He also directed three B-movies during this time. Asher co-directed “Leather Gloves” with Cameron Mitchell and Richard Quine.

In the early sixties, Asher came up with a new series of musical movies. He also filmed the cold war science-fiction drama The 27th Day. He also worked on the comedy Willy, the teen comedy Crazy, and the musical Big Town. He also directed The Danny Thomas Show, which he co-produced with Sidney Sheldon.

After a brief stint at Universal, Asher returned to Los Angeles to direct films. He became an assistant cameraman at Universal Studios, and also worked as an editor. Asher then moved into television as a writer and producer. He worked on I Love Lucy and Bewitched. He also directed The Danny Thomas Show, Kay O’Brien, and The Thin Man. He also wrote the script for The Patty Duke Show. He also directed the TV series The Racket Squad.

Asher is the President of Vivid Entertainment Group. Vivid films are distributed through DVD, pay-per-view channels, and VHS. Vivid spends upwards of $100,000 on features, and the company has produced over 80 films.

Bill Asher also has experience in real estate and running nightclubs. He has leased high-end real estate in New York and California.
